Before their wedding, Katie and Gordon told us were looking for laidback, relaxed photography to match their laidback, relaxed wedding day, and we were happy to be on hand looking out for those candid moments.

Their aim for the day was to have a non-structured vibe, where everyone just had a good time. The popularity of the beer pong definitely suggests that their guests were loving it! And we loved being up close for so many fun snapshots of a beautiful summer’s day in the middle of the countryside.

Some lovely personal touches from the day include the dried flowers on every table, grown and arranged by the bride and her mum. Plus a choreographed father-daughter dance inspired by the fact that they’d never danced together before. Gordon’s mum made mini scones which paired perfectly with jam made by Katie’s dad. That’s teamwork!

When we sent them their gallery they wrote back with the loveliest message: “Thank you for capturing our day perfectly … there were so many wee moments that it was wonderful to see from our day” - this is why we do it, folks! Another gorgeous wedding in the books.
