Meghan & Dan’s Scottish - American wedding
Comrie Croft, Pertshire
FILM + PHOTO
“This ain’t Texas/ Ain’t no hold ‘em”
Before their wedding Meghan & Dan told us that the most important thing was for the photos and film to capture “candid joy and fun - nothing serious!” And that was pretty easy for us as everyone there basically had The Best Time.
Meghan & Dan were ‘officially’ married in Edinburgh so this day was all about the celebration. Friends and family came from across the world to Comrie Croft in rural Perthshire. If you’ve been to this part of the country you know how special it is, and the croft is a perfect space for a big party in the woods.
They chose to start their wedding with a first look - something that’s becoming increasingly popular, and we’re 100% in favour! While its not yet the norm over here, its definitely worth considering. In our experience a first look gives you and your other half a few moments of calm before the day kicks off. It’s a chance for a wee chat and a hug before you head down the aisle.
After the photos, the catch-ups and a delicious meal by Wild Rover the dancing got underway with some traditional Scottish ceillidh. Meghan & Dan summoned the spirit of Beyonce with a chalkboard message and the dancefloor was jumpin’ jumpin (sorry) from the first song onwards. Everyone got stuck in and we headed to our favourite spot - right in the middle. Yeah, we’ve got good a ducking the flailing arms and legs because that’s the place where you’ll get the best footage.
We were thrilled to be a part of such a special day! Take a look at the photos and film and you’ll see what we mean.
