Suzanne and Jonathan’s rustic barn wedding

Suzanne and Jonathan, both originally from the UK, have been building their life together in sunny Australia. However, when it came time to say "I do," there was no question in their mind where the perfect venue would be. Her family farm in Ayrshire held not only a wealth of special memories but also a picturesque Scottish setting.

The peace of the countryside was broken momentarily as Suzanne arrived for the ceremony on the back of a quadbike. That is a hell of a way to make an entrance and we are here for it! The ceremony itself was held next to a crop of wildflowers the couple had planted on past visits and afterwards the guests were led back to the reception by a piper and drummer.

Before the wedding we asked Suzanne and Jonathan what was important to them. They told us: “as we live in Australia, we will have lots of people there who we won't have seen in many months and years. We can't wait to laugh and dance with them all….. and we’d love cracker of a shot of the two of us”. This is exactly what we love about weddings - being there to shoot the reunions, the laughs and the wholesome moments that happen naturally when a big crowd of friends get together. Plus the groom nipping behind the bar to serve bright pink shots to the guests. That definitely kept the dancefloor heaving as the sounds of Blink-182 drifted over the fields outside.
